Early Signals of Chronic Kidney Disease

The early signals of CKD are as follows:

1.     Eyelid or facial edema appears in the morning and disappear in the afternoon. It will also aggravate after fatigue and decrease after rest. Severe edema will appear in the bent parts of the body, such as the inside of double ankles, double lower limbs and lumbosacral.

2.     Patients may have lots of foam in urine without disappearance for a long time, which shows more leakage of protein in the urine.

3.     When the color of urine gets the color of thick tea, soy sauce or moddy, patients should go for examination.

4.     When patients suffer from high blood pressure, they will have the symptoms of headache, dizzy, vision blurred and so on. But some patients have a better tolerance, and they have no obvious uncomfort. Therefore only diagnosing high blood pressure by the symptoms is inadvisable. It is definitely necessary for patients to measure blood pressure in regular.
5.     If patients suffer from unreasonable waist and back pain, they should go to hospital for the examination of kidney, backbone and back muscles.

6.     When patients suffer from the sudden increase or decrease of urine without fever, sweating, and lots of water intake, they should go to hospital to check whether they have suffered from kidney disease or not. The frequency of the urine and the decrease of the urine volume may show the urinary tract infection.

7.     If young adults have more night urine, it could be the early clinic symptoms of renal dysfunction.

Generally, the regular body examination is the best method to diagnose chronic kidney disease. And taking routine urine test in hospital in regular could help to diagnose CKD in primary.  If patients have been diagnosed with proteinuria or blood urine by routine urine test, they should go for treatment as soon as possible so as to protect the kidney.
