FSGS

Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a common cause of massive proteinuria, some of which are relatively rapid development of end-stage renal failure [1].
FSGS is a nephrotic syndrome that occurs in children and adolescents and is an important cause of renal failure in adults.
The disease is also known as focal glomerular sclerosis (focal glomerulosclerosis), or focal nodular glomerulosclerosis (focal nodular glomerulosclerosis).
The disease accounts for about one-sixth of cases of nephrotic syndrome, minimal disease (Minimal Change Disease, referred to as MCD) is the leading cause of child nephrotic syndrome, the most important reason.
FSGS clinical divided into 5 subtypes:
1. Door week type: hardening site located in the blood vessels around the very capillary loop.
2. The top type: hardening site mainly in the urine pole.
Collapse type: micro-wrinkled capillary loop shrinkage, collapse was spherical or segmental distribution.
4. Cell type: focal mesangial cells and endothelial cell proliferation at the same time podocytes increased.
5. Non-special type: can not belong to the subtype. Hardening can occur in any part
